99 Cents at Internet Speed

So, as I sit here and type this at Case Study Coffee Shop here in Portland I've just witnessed an internet phenomenon - the speed of information.

Just Sunday (two days ago) I started the fall holiday sale of The Legend of Lady MacLaoch (ebook is now 99 cents), and before I've been able to get out the email and drum up notice about it, word is out and down the block. How does that happen??

Well, before this blog gets to be old news let me say this Q U I C K :

The Legend of Lady MacLaoch ebook on sale for the holidays now for 99 cents.

Two Trick Pony

A two trick pony.
The website got a facelift!! In case you arrived and were wondering where the scenery went, not to worry, you're in the right spot.

I came to the realization the other day that while I love and adore Lady MacLaoch and may yet write another of Rowan and Cole's story it's time to make way for novel #2, The Mechanic (working title). Thus, we are no longer a one trick pony.

You'll notice the swag design is easier on the eyeballs and things are organized such that when the cover graphic for the new novel comes in, there will be room for it, and not have MacLaoch smothered all over it. Not that any of us would mind a bit of MacLaoch smothered all over us . . .

Stay tuned for more. And if you haven't yet, get on the email list so you can get updates on release schedule for the next book. Sign-up here.

PS -  for extra credit points can anyone identify the animal riding atop the pony? I just realized it's not another pony!

Gushing

Fast cars, foul language, rough sex. My next novel.
Head down, nose applied to grindstone, and what have I got? Some serious work on the next novel The Mechanic (working title) - things are really coming together, and I'm PUMPED!! There are still gaping holes in it but holy crap this thing is coming together. I thought it was going to be a short story back in November of last year and wrote a post pasting the begining, and I've dug it out of the archives for ya. Work that Muscle is the post and it's waaaaaaaaaay unedited so watch out literary critic, you will cringe. :0)

Lover and a Fighter

Last week Friday, my good friend and literary genius Kate Carman, while in town from Seattle helped me to clean out my wine cellar. During one of the wine cellar clean-out evenings, the recent blog tour came up in discussion, and we got to talking about Rowan MacLaoch. Rowan, being dubbed a Renaissance man by my girl over at Her Book Self made us start a debate on what Renaissance man really means. Wikipedia became involved when we just couldn't agree, and the final say was that it was knowing a little bit about a lot of things. The details are hazy, but at some point it had been described as a yin and yang. A lover and a fighter.

"Wait" I said putting down my wine glass and lifting my hand, "waitwaitwait. Did you just call him a lover and a fighter?"
Kate, "Who? Oh, yeah, Rowan. He's like a lover and a fighter he's got both you know?"
"No really though, he's --"
"Omigod!! He's a fighter pilot!! A literal lover and a fighter!!"
Insert squeals of pun-y laughter here.

The photo above is my mental depiction of what I think a renaissance man looks like. But, what are your thoughts on modern day renaissance men? Who are they and what does it mean to you?
